Following intuition is living in the flow; dancing a perfect dance. Intuition is a Present moment experience; it is a listening and following without any future goal. Although following Guidance is about Present Joining, beyond form, it is also very practical. We are Given what to say, where to go, what to do, etc. This Voice or this Feeling is our Inner Wisdom, our True Self, that Guides us to the realization that we ARE the Guidance.

Enlightenment is Right Here, Right Now

No matter how improved or inflated the limited self seems to be, it will never be the changeless, eternal Self that God created. It is necessary to recognize the trap of thinking that happiness, peace of mind, and salvation are somewhere off in the future, so that you can see that every moment is the opportunity. The linear (past/future) concept of time is part of the dualistic belief system that must be questioned. There is great joy and contentment in the experience of NOW. God isn’t holding out on us or dangling a carrot of eternal peace before us, saying, "Here’s Enlightenment, keep reaching… OOPS, you missed again." Enlightenment is right here, right now.

Heaven is Now

"The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" means it is Now. Now is the gateway to the Eternal, for time and Eternity cannot both exist. All is One with God, and we are grateful for the Beloved Eternity which is Real and True. Now is the time of Salvation!

T-1.I.31. Miracles should inspire gratitude, not awe. 2 You should thank God for what you really are. 3 The children of God are holy and the miracle honors their holiness, which can be hidden but never lost.

A Course in Miracles has a beautiful line that goes, "Love cannot be far behind a grateful heart and a thankful mind." That just kind of rolls out. It is the love that we are all seeking to know that ACIM tells us it is literally beyond what can be taught but we can work at removing the obstacles to the awareness of love's presence. So that is really where our focus is. And then as you clear the mirror of your mind from the attack thoughts and judgments and grievances, then the gratitude is there. It is not like something you need to have more of. It is just like it is already there ready to radiate and shine as you. Who you are is just a grateful presence, a grateful living presence. But it is just covered over by these judgments and grievances and attack thoughts.



A Course in Miracles actually talks quite a bit about removing those grievances and judgments in our mind and how important it is that we do so. So we will talk about that and we will also talk about the trust that it takes to do that because as long as you are trusting in the ego, then you are reinforcing, or we might say perpetuating judgments and grievances. But when you withdraw your faith from the ego and you give it over to the Holy Spirit, then naturally those grievances and judgments start to fade away and they become less and less in your awareness.



So faith is not a question of more or less faith; it is what am I putting my faith in? We are going to be all about exposing the ego and really pulling our faith away from the ego and putting it into the Holy Spirit. And that would have to transfer to all aspects of our mind including things like - sometimes people think of things like finances or relationships, there are various aspects of the human condition that seems to be, Oh well, I could turn to God for certain things, but there are certain things I can run a little bit better than God so I'll run them on my own. We find that does not really work. You cannot really run some aspects of your life. That control of trying to be in charge of certain things is where the problem is. So it progressively takes a lot of faith to transfer the training we have learned from A Course in Miracles.

David: Forgiveness is wholeness. If you even leave God out of it for a moment and we go to the correction that takes you back to God. Forgiveness is wholeness and so if you are identified we will say, as a man, as an ACIM student, as an awakening mind or a soul that is undergoing an evolution, a transformation, if you are identified with any of those things, ACIM says, forgiveness is the goal. But forgiveness is wholeness and what we are starting to realise is the reason the mind seems to have these symptoms or even seems to be terrified of the body dying is not really the fear. It is the fear of wholeness.

That symptom that seems to be in the body, as you were saying with the throat closing up and everything like that, and not being able to sleep. That is all a projection of the fear of wholeness so that you will not see that you are afraid of wholeness. When people talk about the Holy Spirit, it says in ACIM basically, that the whole purpose of the workbook is to train the mind to hear the voice for God, to hear the Higher Power, to hear the intuition and really that is the whole purpose of any spirituality. It is to hear that intuitive voice because that has got all the answers.

That voice knows who you truly are and it always is letting us know ... it is never critical once, ever. It is never demanding, it never commands, it never forces us to do anything. It simply offers us this healing reminder about being so loved and even gives us instructions. Where to go, what to do, how to spend the day. It is even practical, it is even more practical than all you need is love.

It gives us practical instructions that help us out in this awakening. But if we are afraid of the Holy Spirit and we are afraid of forgiveness, even if ACIM is telling us that this is the goal then we have to start to realise, wow if I would choose the symptom, and it is a choice, it is not like something out there did it to me. If I would choose a symptom wow I must really be afraid of something else if I am trying to trick myself with a symptom.

David: Yeah it is actually a good sign.

The whole point of A Course in Miracles is really to tap into our Higher Power. It really has no other purpose. And then when we do experiential tap into it than that is when the book is no longer necessary. We do not need the words; the Spirit can give us all the words we need. If we need any the Spirit will give it to us real
easily. But we do not need to rely on anything anymore. We do not need to rely on religion; we do not need to rely on the book. We just become the living presence of that Spirit, that love. And that is the whole point. That is why we are making great inroads, I am glad we are exploring this together and we are going to broadcast this to all of our brothers and sisters because if we have been afraid of something but we have had a misplaced fear, you know, let's say we bought into the trick and now we are saying I am not going to do that, I do not want to do that anymore, if there is something that I have been avoiding or trying to dodge that has been inside of me, this fear of wholeness, this true fear of intimacy, not fear of sexual intimacy, but a fear of mind intimacy.

People always talk about well if I was naked, if the body was naked I would be embarrassed, well that is a choice, again that is just an interpretation. There was somebody today that was telling me about a woman in Sweden who may have been a student of A Course in Miracles. They were going to just live naked and they were attempting to say the body is not a source of shame, it is natural to be naked, we cover with clothes, it is like Adam and Eve with the fig leaf, it is like we have covered it, cover this, cover that. It is not the body that is the source of shame or guilt, it is the mind that interprets the body and you might say covering the body, like all these people dressing up and covering the body and covering all their private parts. Let’s follow that one a bit too, private parts, what is so bad about private parts and why are they private? Why must they incessantly be covered?
Well let's roll it back to the mind. The ego is a belief in private minds, not one mind, not one unified whole mind, but private minds with private thoughts. What a trick. It has convinced the mind that is asleep that it is a separate mind in a separate body, it has its own little separate thing going yackety yak, going on. We have to see face value that is what is believed in, that is the status quo. And that is what Jesus is saying is crazy, absolutely crazy. We are all one mind, we all share the same Christ mind, we are all the same. So when we start to look at the form, like the bodies and the clothes, and covering the private parts and all this and this and this who set it up that way? As we see in A Course in Miracles, God does not know anything about private parts.

It is kind of funny some cultures we celebrate birth and we, the ego is grieving death. Then you can find some other cultures, like in New Orleans, where they actually dance and party when someone dies. There are actually some cultures where they grieve when there is a newborn. You see how flipped? It is all relative. We cannot say that it is all this way because it is much ado about nothing.

As long as we start to take the form seriously, like divorce, one man was saying to me oh my wife, my daughter, my children, are all upset about this divorce that is coming about. He said "what do you think, what do you think about this divorce?" I said "yeah it is a decision and I honor all decisions.” When somebody tells me they are getting divorced I am like oh okay, or if somebody tells me they are getting married, okay, or if somebody tells me I am going to commit suicide or check out, okay.
Non dual Teachers have to start to realize everything is mind and everything is a decision and who are we to tell anybody anything really? Who are we to give advice or make a pronouncement when they say I am getting a divorce? We should be loving, kind, supportive.

I was called down to South America a number of years ago and I was invited to come down and then all of the sudden I started getting phone messages, don't come, it is terrible, my husband went off with another woman and we are talking divorce now. It was a whole tour the Holy Spirit was having me do down in Argentina and this affair thing, they thought the Holy Spirit was like oh stop the whole tour, potential divorce going on here. I said no,no, I bought the tickets.

So I go down there and the husband that was off with another woman and the wife, they both picked me up in the same car. Her name was Maria Christina Uare, Mary Christ you are. His name was Alberto but she adored him so much she just called him the King. The King found another woman. But I had always known him so I go down, they both pick me up, and I go oh Maria, oh Maria, oh King. So I hugged the King and my whole trip down there was simply a simple demonstration that what do we do....love the lord thy God and love thy neighbor as myself.

How would Jesus interact with them? Do you think Jesus would go oh I heard you had an affair? No way. I was just loving, loving, loving, loving, even when the children would come to me and go David you don't understand, and he is still living in the house, oh, oh, oh. I said these are decisions, we have to honor and respect decisions. Everything is decisions but it is only when we have the filter of judgment where we come in and go awe that is a terrible decision. We are here to forgive and to love, period. And so me going down there was very transformation for everyone involved. It simply gave everyone permission to let all their emotions come up and face their emotions and face their decisions. And I kept ringing the bell of innocence, remember we are innocent, everyone is innocent. If one is guilty guess what that means for the rest?

A Course in Miracles and Releasing the Belief in Possession

The following excerpt is from a transcribed talk with A Course in Miracles teacher David Hoffmeister, speaking about his life on the road and releasing the belief in possession.

The thing I love most about traveling is staying in people's homes and getting to share with them like family. I now see everyone as my family. It is much more fun doing the hotel circuit and everything. Going where invited, staying with people became fun, it became gleeful, and then everything that I seemed to need was provided. Almost like it was a skit. The Spirits like, Okay, you're going to need some props for your skit so I'll give you some props, but don't ever be concerned or invested in the props because that's not really what the play is for. The props are not the story line. The props are not the message. The props are used to convey the message, but the props don't have any meaning in and of themselves. I found that very relaxing.

I was recently sharing about this with my friend Skye. Skye is A Course in Miracles student who recently felt guided to give away her dogs, whom she loved, and start traveling in divine trust. And now everywhere she goes, she keeps seeing dogs, dogs, dogs. It’s like the Spirit’s way of saying, See, there’s no sacrifice!

And you can do that with anything. Even if you had children. You hit the road - children, children, children. What did Kahlil Gibran say? Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. Whoo! That's kind of cool. It's like, you can still have the joy of the dogs, of the children, and yet you have the essence that's underneath it and you don't have the weight and the worry and the concern of the possession. Because as soon as we feel like we can possess something or someone, the question arises, Do you have the possessions or do the possessions have you? That is the real question.

Living without the feeling of possession becomes a way of life. It starts off as a practice but it becomes a way of life. It becomes as natural as breathing. Where at first it seems to be a conscious effort, it soon becomes a relaxing habit, and that is the purpose of doing the lessons in A Course in Miracles.

Just like if somebody is trying to free themselves from an addiction. It seems like they have to put a little bit of effort to free themselves from that addiction until finally they are truly free. And then they are like, Oh yeah. This is great! Now this is the way life should be. It is like swimming or something. Initially it takes some time to develop the strokes and it takes energy and effort but after a while it just seems to be a rhythm and a flow and it starts to feel much more easy and natural.

And the toughest part is when we are turning away from an old belief system that really has never served us. It seems like the ego goes kicking and screaming a bit. It is like, What are you doing?I made you. I own you. I am your master. You are the slave. And you say, No, I don't think so. I'm not going to feed you anymore. I'm not going to give you my mind energy. And then it just gets easier and easier and easier.

ACIM and the Internet

Enjoy this excerpt from a talk by David Hoffmeister, where David discusses the lifting of the copyright on ACourse in Miracles (ACIM) as a symbol for the free flow of information.

Even the internet which I adore because I just send stuff out on the internet and it goes all over the world and now people are translating the writings into different languages. It is just a great symbol of minds are joined because there is such a free flow of information.

The truth is to be freely shared because God created us in truth a solve and there is no limit on love, there is no copyright on love. Those kind of things still are symbols that the world uses and even ACIM, the guidance was copyrighted in the early years. So, the first three decades when it came into the world, it actually was copyrighted and that was just to keep the thought system together so the ego did not just pilfer it and pick it apart like a bunch of birds picking a little idea here and there.

Jesus wanted his book, ACIM,to get launched and be a pathway to God and then after three decades there was a judge in New York State in the United States Judge Sweet who threw the copyright out after mission was accomplished. After ACIM made it into the realm and it was together as a teaching device, as a pathway to God, then Jesus had Judge Sweet lift the copyright. The day that Judge Sweet lifted the copyright was the day that, guess what I did? Put it on the internet for free, the day that the copyright was lifted.

Jesus was waiting for that point as well so I just feel that is why we are here, to truly bless each other’s lives to be of full support to one and other. And for me when I meet with a group of people it is not a fleeting encounter. I feel like I am here meeting my beloved Self and that we literally have lifelong relationships that what I am sharing and what the words of wisdom that are pouring through are coming from a Presence that is saying we have a lifelong link, we have a lifelong connection of awakening to this truth together and even though the bodies seem to be in different parts of the world and so forth, it is a communication link. We can join together
through the power of prayer through the power of thought, through using symbols like the internet and so on so forth, anything that blesses us.
